PayPal FAQs

Can I Pay Without PayPal?

YES, you can!

KEY PAYPAL INFO

We accept payment by Stripe and PayPal. If you select PayPal as your payment method, you’ll be able to pay your order with your credit or debit card via PayPal Payment Option without a PayPal account, and without registration with PayPal.

You still need to choose PayPal Payment Option at the Cart Page, and then you’ll be taken to the PayPal website to complete your purchase. You will normally see one of 3 options.

PAY via PAYPAL

You may see one of the following screen options as described here

Option 1

You may see the following screen. There will be a link titled “Check Out as a Guest”. You may see something similar such as “Pay with Credit or Debit Card” or “Don’t have a PayPal account?”. You must select this link to open the credit/debit card details screen.

Then on the next screen, you need to enter your details including your card information, billing address, and contact details, and complete your purchase.

Option 2

You may see the credit/debit card details screen straight away as illustrated below. You need to enter your details including your card information, billing address, and contact details, and complete your purchase.

Option 3

If you have an existing PayPal account and PayPal has detected this (e.g. you’ve logged into PayPal on the same computer previously), you may see the following screen.

If you want to use the Guest Checkout Option, you should click “Create an account“. This will take you to a screen where you can enter your debit/credit card details, without registering for a PayPal account.

TROUBLESHOOTING

  • Email Address

If the email address that you are providing is linked to an existing PayPal account, the option to Checkout As A Guest will not be available since PayPal has already established that you have an existing account. Try changing the email address when attempting to pay again.

    Cookies

Based on cookies within the browser, if PayPal can see that you have used the Guest Checkout a numerous amount of times, they will remove the option and require you to create a PayPal account. Since this is tracked through cookies, clearing the cache within their browser should restore this option for you.

    • Localre / IP

The Guest Checkout Option would not be available for all locations, as some countries (including China, and some European countries), are required by PayPal to have a PayPal account before making a transaction. In this same regard, if your IP address is determined by the system to be at a location where "PayPal account optional" is not available, you will be required to create a PayPal account.

  • Reason 1

Your card is associated with a specific PayPal account, and you're not logging in with that particular account. If you’re using a credit card that’s linked or assigned to a PayPal account, try login to PayPal during the payment process. You can change the source of funds to make the payment after logged in to use a credit card instead of a PayPal balance.

    Reason 2

Your card is previously used in a PayPal account or Assigned in a closed PayPal account. PayPal remembers credit card details even if it has already been removed from a PayPal account or was previously linked to a closed or deleted account. In this case, please use another credit card or link another credit card to your PayPal account then login to your PayPal account and pay using your newly added card.

    Reason 3

You've exceeded your card limit with the PayPal system. According to PayPal's source, there is a limit based on the number of times, the amount of the transactions, the type of merchandise being sold that a credit card can be used within the system without having to verify ownership by opening an account. The restriction is for security and fraud protection reasons. There is no workaround to this limitation, but you should be able to use another credit card. If there is a problem, try using another email address. Else, register a PayPal account.

    Reason 4

Your email address/card is raising a red flag in PayPal's system. Closely linked to the reasons above. Try changing either credit card or e-mail address or both when attempting to pay again.

  • Reason 1

When you do not have a Paypal account, a credit card has a total lifetime transaction limit of approximately $4000. This value is the total of all payments ever made through the PayPal Guest Checkout Option on that credit card. Even if the total is below $4000, you can only use that card 15 times as a guest. If the card is flagged by PayPal, an account (username/password) will be required for security reasons. In either case, you will need to sign up for a PayPal account in order to use that credit card.

    Reason 2

If you have an existing PayPal account and the credit card or email address is recognized by PayPal, you must log in to PayPal first. These are unfortunately limitations imposed by PayPal for security reasons and entirely have to do with your credit card account.
